On this blog I’ll write reviews of books, films, music and TV; and comments on culture, politics and current events. And probably other stuff too.
I work in TV as a Researcher on arts and entertainment docs and have been a major part in making programmes about Michael Jackson, ABBA, Maria Callas, Dame Joan Sutherland and The Beatles. Probably my weirdest TV experience was getting accidentally locked in at the Jackson family home in Encino after interviewing Jermaine Jackson for our film The Michael Jackson Story, aired on ITV1 in 2009.
I’m currently writing my first full-length spec-screenplay, which once I’ve completed, will, ahem, of course (!) be produced by a shit-hot producer in Hollywood. As well as various pieces of journalism, thousands of TV proposals and corporate copywriting, I have written short films, a play and several short stories. Last year I edited the anthology of new writing from The National Academy of Writing, The Spiral Path, which also featured a piece of my creative non-fiction work.
My compulsive need to look below the surface and discover the impulses and reasons for the way things are, is what makes me write.
